JOB DETAILS
Pay Range: $32-$39 per hour
Day Rotational Shift: 6am-6pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise & coordinate the scheduling, diagnose & repairs of all plant equipment & building repairs. Performs administrative duties including preparing and maintaining records and writing reports in the area of maintenance, personnel and work orders.
- Prepares work schedules, sets priorities and assigns, supervises and coordinates work of maintenance personnel of all shifts.
- Supervises the ordering of parts and the delivery of parts.
- Examines and approves time cards and follows all Ply Gem Windows policies and procedures.
- Supervises progress on scheduled items and advises mechanics throughout the day.
- Monitors plant operations throughout the day.
- Manages the learning experience and training of maintenance personnel to continually improve their knowledge and skills in diagnostics & repairs of equipment.
- Maintains a close working relationship with all supervisors concerning maintenance of all plant equipment and building repair.
- Supervises maintenance and upkeep of all maintenance equipment & tools.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Punch time clock before and after shift to record time worked.
Qualifications
- HS Education Required/Advance Education Preferred
- 4-7 Years Industrial Maintenance
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements, mechanical, electrical, and PLC controlled systems is required
- Basic skills in reading and comprehension of electrical schematics and pneumatic/hydraulic principles and diagrams are also necessary
- Basic understanding of electrical principles such as voltage
- Experience troubleshooting machines, i.e., electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems
- Technicians must be flexible with regard to schedule and travel requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have initiative and ability to effectively manage assigned work
- Must be able to work successfully with others in a team environment
- Understanding and willingness to follow ALL of the safety principles and regulations in an industrial manufacturing environment. Includes LOTO, PPE, Hot Works
- Punctuality a MUST
- Position is part of a team that depends on one another to complete all tasks
- Computer literate: Email, Search Engines/Data Input capabilities
- Understanding of mechanical transmission systems
- Ability to work with power tools and basic welding skills
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic principles as used in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Fundamental understanding of industrial electricity from 480VAC to 24VDC voltages
- Ability to trouble shoot and repair all types of industrial manufacturing equipment
- Basic knowledge of AC/DC Drives and their operation and repair
- Agility to work with minimal supervision to maintain plant production operations
- Ability to use equipment manuals and contact vendors for parts and service information
- Willing to learn and work any hours and shifts required

The US base pay range for this full-time position is $21.50 per hour to $23.50 per hour + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
