Jackie Cooper BMW in Edmond is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a BMW Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing high-performance luxury vehicles, ensuring our customers receive top-quality service.
- Perform diagnostic tests on BMW vehicles using specialized equipment and software
- Execute routine maintenance tasks and complex repairs on BMW automobiles
- Identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles
- Utilize BMW-specific tools and follow manufacturer guidelines for all repairs
- Explain technical issues and repair procedures to service advisors and customers
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
- Stay updated on the latest BMW technologies and repair techniques
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow in the service department
- Document all repair and maintenance work accurately in the service management system
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ASE Certification (preferred)
- BMW Factory Training certification (preferred)
- Proven experience as an automotive technician, preferably with BMW vehicles
- In-depth knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and BMW-specific tools and software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively
- Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
