Job Description

Joe Cooper CDJR of Yukon has an immediate opening for an experienced Warranty Administrator to process and submit warranty claims. Must be reliable with strong attention to detail. Chrysler experience is preferred, but not required. The Warranty Administrator makes sure the dealership is paid for warranty work by preparing, submitting and following up on claims. As with all positions within our dealerships, Warranty Administrators are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

  • Process/book warranty claims in a timely manner
  • Process all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation
  • Review all claims prior to submission, including the vehicle claims history printout
  • Resubmit all rejected claims promptly
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of the manufacturer and dealer products
  • Keep informed of and comply with all factory recalls and bulletins
  • Arrange for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables and work with the accounting department to obtain payments
  • Keep track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed
  • Maintain all service and customer records as required by the warrantor. Process Extended Warranty and Prepaid Maintenance plan documents for the purpose of receiving payment in full within a timely manner
  • Reconcile receivables with schedules to match payment and claim amounts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Prior automotive warranty administrator experience preferred
  • Previous experience with CDK software a plus
  • Ability to work in a highly interactive environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with customers maintaining poise and professionalism at all time while exhibiting a friendly, helpful attitude.
  • Skills in accounting, general ledger accounting and accounts receivables a plus.
