Job Description

CF is seeking an Entry-Level Electronic Security Service Technician. We are seeking a candidate with a strong work ethic and the desire to grow within our company. The Technician will be responsible for conducting classes regarding safety, security, installation, programming, maintenance, and repair of software, machinery, and equipment. Duties and Responsibilities:    

Provide process-driven technical services including:

  • On-site diagnosis of problems or Non-technical fixes
  • Troubleshoot and repair system failures
  • Schedule system cleanings and Preventive maintenance
  • Prioritization and planning as well as System assessments
  • Interface with cloud-based service system
  • Updating online tickets in a timely fashion
  • Contacting customer with the estimated time of arrival
  • Escalation of problems when appropriate
  • Interfacing with service management and procurement for needed parts
  • Accurately report service data
  • Perform service on all installed electronic security system products:

   1.     Intrusion detection systems and equipment
   2.     CCTV systems and equipment
   3.     IP video systems and equipment
   4.     Access control systems and equipment
   5.     Network based systems

  • Provide on-site and remote customer support
  • Interact in a professional manner with customers to foster positive customer relations
  • Maintain effective communication with Support Services Team
  • Communicate serious problems to appropriate team members
  • Develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures
  • Complete equipment cleanings as specified by service contracts
  • Organize and manage truck stock parts and tools
  • Support special projects as needed

Qualifications

Vocational or specialized training beyond high school in Electronics or Electrical Engineering Technology (VAR certifications acceptable) is preferred.
 

  • A desire to gain knowledge and understanding of intrusion detection systems, electronic access control, CCTV, IP video, surveillance systems and life safety systems.
  • Working knowledge of any or all of the following products; Lenel, Softwarehouse, C*Cure, AMAG, Hirsch, DMP, Bosch, Genetec, and Milestone is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain State certification for security service/installation required
  • Experience in commercial or government electronic security maintenance, service, or installation preferred
  • Shift adaptability is a plus
  • Willingness to work in exposure to elements
  • Knowledge and awareness of personal safety
  • Able to stand most of the day, occasionally life heavy loads, and work long hours
  • Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills as well as the use of tact and ordinary courtesy is a must
  • Ability to be a team player 

Education: HS Diploma

Clearance: Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance. 

Other:

  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be literate in both spoken and written English.
