SigNet is seeking an IT Support Specialist. The position will report to our corporate office in the DC Metro area. The candidate will support our Corporate Headquarters as well as field program offices throughout the U.S.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Provide remote IT support for colleagues in our North American branch offices. Respond quickly and effectively to support requests with the goal of first call resolution. First point of contact for software, hardware, network and VPN related issues. Image and deploy computers. Maintain/update images per established procedures. Manage computer hardware and peripherals including various printers and supplies. Maintain accurate documentation of assets and software licensing information. Create and manage user accounts in Active Directory and other business applications. Create and maintain end user documentation for software and processes.

Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Good organizational and time management skills. Solid organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Qualifications

1-3 Years in the Information Technology Field

2+ years supporting Microsoft Windows 7/10 desktop operating systems in a production environment.

Knowledge of PC imaging methodology.

Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory.

Knowledge of server operating systems (Primarily Windows Server 2012 and 2016, experience with Linux is a plus).

Knowledge of Office 365 and Microsoft Office Suite Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint).

Knowledge of antivirus software and virus/malware removal techniques.

Ability to quickly learn and troubleshoot new/unfamiliar software tools.

Basic knowledge of networking technologies and tools including: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, PING, VPN.
