Senior ETL Developer – SQL/SSIS

Specific Responsibilities:
· The Senior SSIS developer is a technician for one or more applications or platforms. You are accountable for providing technical guidance and specialized support for development and implementation of Complex Data Warehousing Environment using SSIS; Building Data Warehouse from Conception to Production; Read Data Models; Data Mapping; SQL Queries; Data Warehousing Concepts.
· Analyses technical problems for senior management development teams, and business partners in order to identify the technical approach and solution options for the given problem; this includes collaborating with project teams to resolve technical road-blocks and examining third party product offerings
· Provides application development costing estimates to senior management that are used in determining business initiative feasibility and priorities, and/or used by Technology & Operations (T&O) Project Managers for project planning
· Reviews project documents (e.g., High Level Requirements Document [HLRD], High Level System Design Documents [HLSD], and application code) received from business analysts and Project Managers to ensure quality, completeness, and adherence to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) documentation standards, as well as identifies synergies between project initiatives in order ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the development process
· Provides technical and application expertise to senior management and project teams, including the areas of governance methodologies and processes, for purposes of ensuring the architecture and applications are consistent with the design framework, Enterprise/industry standards, and the account’s strategic direction
· Provides technical coaching to team members on design patterns, development processes, and application functions in order to improve their technical skills

Job requirement:
· Must possess a College Degree (preferably in Computer Science or Technology)
· Must have 4+ years of experience with at least 1 year in SSIS/SQL ETL Development
· Has good understanding of Data warehousing concepts and hands on project experience § Good SQL programming skills (i.e. extensive applied knowledge of SQL (proficient with minus queries, various types of joins, nested queries etc.) § Hands on development experience in SSIS § Proven experience in writing applications in SQL to interface with databases (using various table designs, functions, views etc.) § Ability to read a data model, data mapping and translate it into SSIS code
· Experience in Data Extraction, Transforming and Loading (ETL) between Homogenous and Heterogeneous System § Experience in Importing/Exporting Data from various data sources like Excel, DB2, Netezza and Flat files § Migrated DTS packages to SSIS and modified using DTS editor wizard § Excellent knowledge of using variables and expressions in packages. § Experience in creating master and child packages, package configurations and logging § Design and develop data movements using SQL Server Integration Services, Stored Procedures § Experience in creating Jobs, Alerts, SQL Mail Agent, and schedule SSIS Packages § Thorough in-depth knowledge of design and analysis methodology and application development processes in Banking and Financial industry is an added asset
· Proven experience in test cases creation, preparation & execution.
· Experience in co-ordination with the development & test teams in an onshore-offshore model is an added asset.
· Very strong understanding of DB Concepts, have worked on at-least one of the databases, e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, Netezza etc.
· Good communication skills & should be a good team player
