Job Description
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Manage resources to meet production schedules and creatively solve problems that hinder the team performance. Examples include safety hazard removal, part shortages, corrective actions, near misses/work injuries, and others.
- Ensure adequate staffing to meet customer demand. This includes administration of attendance policies.
- Manage issues quickly and effectively and give feedback in a timely and diplomatic manner.
- Communicate team needs to support functions.
- Actively promote the benefits of continuous improvement to Associates
- Elevate issues/problems to plant management and HR as appropriate or needed.
- Give appropriate and specific praise/rewards to Associates
- Actively support Associate development. Make efforts to allow department Associates to participate in training opportunities.
- Administer and facilitate countermeasure implementation when appropriate.
- Ensure Gemba walks are performed throughout the shift.
- Collect data and summarize data (i.e., downtime, schedule attainment, etc.).
- Participates in RIE events as requested/required.
- Ensures the use of standard work.
- Understands, enforces and promotes 5S program.
- Adheres to ISO documentation and procedures.
- Ensures quality standards are followed. Identify and eliminate reoccurring quality issues.
- Enforce and follow all Company policies, rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Note: this facility will initially operate 5 days/week (Monday - Friday). There is a chance to change shift to 24/7 after ramp up of operations, therefore shift will be reviewed accordingly.
Qualifications
Basic Qualification: High School Diploma or equivalent; and related experience and/ or training.
Physical Demands on this position:
- Must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
- Frequently push or pull up to 75 pounds of force.
- Be able to use stairs
