Job Description

YOUR TASKS

Analyze workflows to identify improvement areas in the process. Then, drive change initiatives utilizing cross-functional team collaboration and lean manufacturing principles to effect lasting process advancements.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Analyze workflows to identify improvement areas in the process
  • Drive change initiatives utilizing cross-functional team collaboration and lean manufacturing principles to effect lasting process advancements
  • Develop and upkeep aids such as process alerts, work instructions, and one-point lessons
  • Identify process problems and own their resolutions to increase production output, including root cause analysis and data reporting to department
  • Analyze capital expenditures and project designs to find cost cutting and investment driving solutions, including for new equipment to ensure proper release
  • Identify areas for quality improvement in the process and collaborate to find solutions that drive down scrap in the area
  • Must have continuous improvement experience
  • Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls 
  • Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties 
  • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards 
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others 
  • Other duties as assigned

THE ENVIRONMENT

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as steel toes and ear plugs. 
  • The job is within a climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise
  • The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting and operating machinery, with training provided

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Technical field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Continental is able to offer visa support and relocation for internal candidates.
