Job Description

We are looking for a Manager Sustainability Reporting Regulations to join our sustainability team. The role is shaping the dynamic field of sustainability reporting regulations management which is developing at a high speed following evolving regulations like CSRD, ESRS and EU Taxonomy. The role comprises among others the following tasks:

  • Monitor and evaluate the dynamic landscape of Corporate sustainability regulations with focus on reporting and disclosure requirements
  • Analyze sustainability reporting regulations and translate them into concrete requirements
  • Coordinate the interpretation of reporting regulations with the relevant topical functions
  • Manage the central hub for sustainability reporting requirements
  • Continuously match the implementation of requirements with the dynamic interpretations of sustainability reporting regulations
  • Develop solutions for challenging accounting questions with regard to sustainability reporting regulations in alignment with the external assurance provider
  • Co-write technical text blocks within the sustainability report
  • Contribute to public engagement on sustainability reporting regulations (e.g. public consultations)

Qualifications

  • Academic degree in Sustainability, Accounting, Controlling, or a comparable field
  • Several years experience in a similar field of activity
  • Strong expertise in Corporate Sustainability Reporting
  • Profound expertise on Sustainability Reporting Standards & Regulations (CSRD, ESRS, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, GHG Protocol, SASB, etc.)
  • Practical expertise in Sustainability Reporting Assurance (either on company, consultancy or assurance provider side)
  • Experience in creating certainty in dynamic conditions 
  • Experience in matrix roles, project and stakeholder management
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Word
  • Good understanding of technical language of sustainability reporting in English and German
  • Fluent precise English and German
  • Working style combining a focus on details as well as keeping a highly structured overview
  • Intrinsic motivation to navigate in highly complex and dynamic processes and requirements
  • Ability to explain complex requirements in easy words
