Job Description
YOUR TASKS
Develop and maintain extrusion tooling by interpreting engineering designs, operating EDM wire machines, performing repairs, and supporting production processes to ensure quality and efficiency. Collaborate across teams while adhering to safety, environmental standards, and maintaining accurate tooling records and performance data.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develop extrusion tooling using EDM wire machine following designs and specs from Process Engineering
- Use good understanding and knowledge of the tool and die making process in order to develop extrusion tooling
- Use EDM wire machines, read blueprints, engineering designs, and specifications to support the extrusion department
- Read specifications, use hand tools, and gauging devices, i.e. calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
- Proficient with welding and brazing equipment
- Perform tooling maintenance and repair
- Follow extrusion ETO’s and determine set-ups
- Provide support for profiling equipment
- Maintain records of tooling rework and historical data
- Provide assistance in solving processing problems
- Follow standard practices, observe all safety and environmental policies, perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity production, and keep die shop areas neat, clean, aligned, and orderly
- Effectively communicate with engineering, hourly operators, and members of the management team
- Maintain profile performance and data in QDA system and CEMSET
- Must have strong communication skills, mechanical skills, and writing skills
- Must be able to read and understand specs and prints, use die tool and hand tools, and utilize strong computer skills
- Be self-managed, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure
- Follow all plant, ESH, CBS, quality, and department processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High school diploma or GED
- Two or more years’ manufacturing experience
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening
