Job Description
Continental’s Data & Customer Solutions Competence Center develops innovative digital products that support both our customers and internal teams, and we’d love for you to be part of it!
Our Digital Solutions IT team is searching for a talented Manager to lead and elevate the testing landscape and foster frontend development (mobile app and web application) across our ContiConnect product.
As a Team Lead QA & Frontend Development, you will shape and drive our overall test strategy, ensuring smooth, high-quality releases throughout the entire software development lifecycle and lead a team of testers and software developers.
You’ll coordinate cross-functional testing and development efforts, oversee test planning and execution, and guide teams in adopting best practices that raise the bar for software development practices across the organization.
Main Responsibilities:
- Improve and maintain the overall Test Strategy to be applied based on the best practices and initiative specifications, especially the related Release Plan;
- Lead the quality and frontend development team to excel in building and supporting high quality software in cooperation with the other IT and business teams;
- Support team members in their technical and interpersonal skill development;
- Document, implement, monitor and enforce all processes for testing as per the defined standards;
- Mobilize and manage identified stakeholders for all the execution of integrated testing activities;
- Management of the software development lifecycle working closely with design, product managers, and development teams;
- Ensure product meets client’s specifications within defined deadlines and quality standards;
- Oversee the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Qualifications
- University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related field;
- +3 years of experience in software testing and/or app- or web-frontend development;
- Solid background in manual and/or automated testing, system testing, integration testing and/or UAT;
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to understand complex business and technical environments;
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with proven experience supporting cross-functional teams;
- Excellent organizational skills, efficient management of time and activities;
- Experience working in agile and Scrum environment with remote teams and stakeholders;
- Ability to learn a new product quickly, and be able to think outside the box and recommend solutions;
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence is a plus;
- Knowledge of development languages such as Java or TypeScript is a plus;
- Knowledge of a test management tool (e.g. X-Ray, Zephyr, Test Rail…) is a plus;
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright is a plus;
- ISTQB certification is a plus;
- Fluent in English language.
