Job Description
Continental is looking for an Immigration Specialist to become an integral part of the Human Relations team whose primary responsibility is coordinating the immigrant visa process for qualified foreign national employees.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Responsible for the employment-based immigrant visa processes for employees
- Provide evaluation and guidance to Talent Acquisition Specialists and HR Business Partners to determine if foreign national candidates are eligible for visa sponsorship
- Create and coordinate educational programs for foreign national employees and their managers.
- Participate in immigrant process improvement projects
- Manage OESL immigration matters for existing and inbound foreign national professional employees for all U.S. locations and ensure that deadlines are met for the filing of immigration extension processes
- Provide expertise to inbound foreign nationals, HR business partners, hiring managers and talent acquisition team regarding immigration updates, requirements, and maintenance of status.
- Assists with the immigrant visa process
- Carry out administrative tasks related to immigration processes
- Act as a liaison between the immigration attorney's office, foreign national employees, human relations team and hiring managers to provide accurate information and guidance
- Ensure all related internal controls are adequate, documented and performed correctly to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 2+ years experience in employment-based immigration within a corporate environment
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, follow compliance laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure
- Team and customer oriented
