Our rubber material developers (m/f/diverse) are an integral part of the material development group and members of the global R&D organization of the Original Equipment Solutions (OESL) business area. They work with our suppliers to develop high-quality rubber compounds and sustainable products for the automotive industry, closely collaborating with the application engineering, product and process development, and testing teams.

Our rubber material developers (m/f/diverse) are deeply involved in the customer-oriented development process within the OESL business unit. They participate in our customer programs from the initial inquiry to the series phase.

Your tasks will focus on the following activities:

• Development of formulations/compounds according to customer requirements for hose lines
• Leading material development projects and driving cost reduction topics as part of a globally operating team of material experts
• Advising and supporting worldwide locations in all material-related elastomer-specific matters
• Developing innovative and/or creative solutions
• Planning experiments and creating test orders for material testing, including evaluation and analysis of test results
• Conducting and evaluating rubber technological and microscopic investigations
• Processing and managing formulation data and test results
• Analyzing customer specifications, market requirements, and selecting materials according to the specifications
• Close exchange with internal and external customers to understand market requirements and discuss compound approvals

• Academic degree in rubber/polymer technology, chemistry or similar field of study
• Several years experience in rubber or polymer development preferably in automotive industry
• Know-how and experienced in project management
• Very good English and good German language skills written and spoken
• Rigorous, analytical skills, autonomy, good interpersonal skills, diplomacy, open-mindedness and communication skills
• You like working together with people from other cultures all around the globe
• Willingness to travel (10-20%)
