The Resident Engineer will take care that all requests/issues from the customer will be properly addressed within Continental organization.  Serve as the interface between the Aurora Team (customer) and the Continental project team, focused on the MRM implementation    This position will work at our customers location (Aurora) in El Paso, TX. 

Job Responsibilities 

The target of this position is to ensure the commissioning and maintenance of the MRM system in the Aurora vehicles. This contains the following main tasks:
▪ Commissioning of Aurora vehicles with MRM (Minimum Risk Maneuver)
• Mechanical build-up and assembly / adjustment of sensors, ADCU, PODs and cleaning system
• Update of ADC / Sensors 
• Troubleshooting the vehicle network  and vehicle level issues to determine root cause
• Installation and maintenance of measurement system and related technology
• Troubleshooting and ensure system readiness
• Single point contact for offloading data, data ingress and egress
▪ Representation of project-interests in customer meetings
▪ Protect confidentiality of project and other Continental data

▪ Actively manage stakeholder expectations, inform and involve stakeholders on a regular basis and in an appropriate manner
▪ Help build up a supportive culture of cooperation and teamwork with the project

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Math or Physics 
  • At least 2 years experience in the automotive industry in a technical discipline
  • Good written and oral English communication skills
  • Has worked as a team member in an international team

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Masters Degree in Engineering 
  • At least 5 years experience in the automotive industry in a variety of functions - preferably as a test engineer, vehicle integration engineer
  • Is able to lead special topics which needs strong support with the customer.
