Job Description

  • Leading the sourcing decision of required components (in alignment with Cluster Buyer)
  •  Documentation and archive of all relevant data and files, e.g. nomination letters
  •  Create the purchasing order according to the sourcing decision
  •  Responsible for savings through negotiations
  •  Management of suppliers, supplier development, first-level escalation, central point of contact for suppliers
  • Start RFQ process to specifications and requirements
  •  RFQ evaluation, including price negotiation and selection of suppliers to achieve the commercial target (in alignment with Cluster Buyer)
  •  Carry out the standard price planning of managed materials according to cluster strategy
  •  Procurement marketing (research for new/alternative suppliers)
  •  Provide the required data for cluster analysis
  •  Support the Product life cycle process
  •  ERP system-related tasks (purchase orders, schedule agreements, pricing, payment terms, vendor details)
  •  Support vendor payment topics, invoices, and price discrepancies
  •   Manage Supplier Evaluation
  •  Support improvement of procurement processes
  •  Work across local and global purchasing management
  •  Cooperation with interface departments
  •  Cooperation with global Purchasing Organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing  or four years of  purchasing experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Professional technical understanding of the procured materials
  • Experience using purchasing software
  • Negotiation skills and legal know-how
  • Market knowledge of the procured materials
  • English language is required
  • Project coordination.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP
