Job Description
The mission of the position is to plan, coordinate and track Business Area(BA) level driven Manufacturing Engineering activities (e.g. investment projects, performance improvement and cost saving initiatives, etc) in order to meet the defined MPE targets and contribute to the achievement of the BA strategy. Furthermore, supports the execution of strategic manufacturing projects according to the defined BA investment budget. Position is hybrid but required employee to be located close to a Conti Tech IAM location
Investments:
▪ Ensure implementation of investments based on BA specific strategy, in strong collaboration with the assigned plants
▪ Support the preparation of the investment budget, spending forecasts and follow up
▪ Guidance for the approval of specifications / eCR for investments for production equipment
▪ Support the prioritization of projects by utilizing business cases and using financial criteria (e.g. IRR, ROCE)
Production Design:
▪ Ensure implementation of BA specific standard production concepts (incl. layout)
▪ Ensure implementation of BA specific automation strategy and concepts (incl. Smart Factory) and standards (mechanical; e.g. handling systems, machine loading / unloading systems, …)
Production Equipment and Standardization:
▪ When applicable define and maintain BA equipment standards for a specific area of responsibility and support plants in implementation
▪ Ensure implementation of Sector M&E standards related with production equipment and systems for a specific area of responsibility
▪ Ensure implementation of CT standards for installation, start-up, validation, handover and improvement of all production and SC (i.e. intralogistics) equipment
▪ Drive feedback process for continuous development of standards in aligned with Sector M&E
Training and Coaching:
▪ Support the continuous qualification of manufacturing engineering employees in the plants
Monitoring and Reporting:
▪ Drive operational production equipment performance monitoring and reporting

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- University degree in electrical/mechanical/manufacturing engineering or similar
- 7 years of professional experience with 3 or more years of professional experience in various manufacturing engineering functions.
- Experience in rubber and plastic production processes
- Comprehensive experience in project management
- Product knowledge (functionalities and applications)
- Human relations skills (team skills, conflict management, open-mindedness, networking, moderation and negotiation)
- Experience in working with international teams on production topics and understanding of foreign cultures
- Proficient in English language
- flexibility to travel 30-40% annually

Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing-related technologies, systems, infrastructures, standards and processes
- 10 years of professional experience in various manufacturing engineering functions.
- Cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, production or CBS
- Manufacturing engineering systems and methods (e.g. REFA, MES, TPM)
- Quality management (including quality policies, systems and processes)
- Problem solving and decision making tools and techniques
- Lean production/CBS principles, methods and tools Management skills, tools and techniques (e.g. balanced scorecard, benchmarking)
- Experience in a leadership position, in a technical team with functional and disciplinary responsibility for other individuals
- Project management skills, tools and techniques including financial principles and negotiation.
