Job Description

Shopfloor Training - On the job training: Coordinate, train and assess shopfloor employees to meet the qualification matrix required to perform the job competently. Monitor and Track that all shopfloor employees meet the skills requirements according to job descriptions; Conduct the training needs audits for existing and new shopfloor personnel ; Plan the training (training targets; agenda; venue; time; materials; assessment tools etc.); Liaise with HRBPs for changes in manning requirements on shopfloor and define critical business changes that require training support.

Training Content and material creation - Develop training manuals and assessment tools exercises; Maintain and update training manuals and assessment tools exercises for relevance; Obtain sign off of training manuals; Define and prepare the training content for theoretical training in collaboration with the relevant person. Training Delivery - Provide and conduct the theoretical training according to predefined training contents and targets; Coordinate that practical training on the machines is carried out; Adapt training methodology according to trainee's knowledge and skills; Arrange onboarding for new employees entering the department.

Training Evaluations/ Assessments - Conduct an evaluation according to the assessment(certification/recertification) plan to check if all trained employees meet the skill requirements for the job they are employed for; Conduct assessments for all shopfloor employees according to SETA requirements; Moderate assessments; Monitor and track assessments at various stages of employee life cycle to evaluate competence and store all completed assessments in a confidential location. Training Records/

Reporting - Maintain training data base, matrix; Update and maintain daily monthly and annual training reports; Maintain/revise and develop job descriptions for hourly employees.

MerSETA - Utilise the correct templates provided by TMOD to capture training for the annual WSP and ATR submission; Verify and check that registration as a company Labour Trainer is valid on the NSDMS; Attend the training committee meetings and present a quarterly report on training conducted

Qualifications

National Diploma in Human Relations or Training and Development or related tertiary qualification

Minimum 3-5 years of manufacturing experience
