Job Description
In AI Development Center of Continental, we create next generation automotive software solutions which make Autonomous Driving safe and affordable. We are looking for creative minds who are passionate to shape the future by delivering software solutions for ADAS projects.
The complexity of future mobility systems grows continuously. The development of Driver Assistance and Autonomous Driving systems and their cutting-edge components (Radar, Lidar, Camera, Ultrasonic and Central Processing Unit) is one of the key area to secure our way towards Vision Zero (eliminate injuries & accidents) and as Data Scientist, you would deal with collecting and analyzing large amounts of data.
Understanding complex AI model behavior requires a data-driven approach as formal analysis is not usually feasible. As part of the model developer team your primary task will be to explore patterns in both the input data and performance of neural nets in order to make sure that the delivered AI models are robust and they meet the customer requirements. You will also provide insight for the AI developers by developing methodologies to capture crucial model behavior, conducting ad hoc analysis and creating standardized model performance evaluation.
Your Task
- Collect, transform and analyze data from various sources
- Implement tools for data analytics to identify relevant subsets (e.g. provide statistics of the accessible data)
- Automate data collection processes
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms
- Present findings using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to address business challenges
- Collaborate with engineering, product development teams and further stakeholders, understand business needs and communicate results
- Develop processes, methods and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
- Prepare for automation and integration of the toolchain for high throughput of data.
Qualifications
Your profile
- University degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in a technical area: Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related.
- At least 3 years of professional experience working with Python or R (Python preferred)
- Solid background and self-driven interest in machine learning, deep learning
- Excellent analytical mindset and good mathematical skills
- Experience working according to SAFe (scaled agile framework)
- Good command of the English language
- Collaborative, open-minded, team player attitude.
