Job Description

As a CNC Operator/Machinist, you will be responsible for:

  • Operating CNC machining equipment following a production schedule.
  • Labeling parts correctly
  • Stamping parts when necessary
  • Moving finished parts to the proper areas.
  • Keeping the machine filled with coolant.
  • Ensuring that refractometer readings are within acceptable levels.
  • Monitoring and filling the way oil reservoir.
  • Maintaining a clean workstation.
  • Programming and machining new fixtures.
  • Training new employees.
  • Programming and machining prototype parts.
  • Programming and machining new jobs.

This position is on 2nd shift: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm. 

Pay rate is based on experience: $16.00 – 40.00/hour. The differential for 2nd shift is $2.00/hour!

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS – CNC MACHINE OPERATOR 1

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Continental is not able to pay relocation expenses for this opportunity.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant CNC machining experience.
  • Ability to work 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS – CNC MACHINE OPERATOR 2

All basic qualifications required for CNC Machine Operator 1, and:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant CNC machining experience.  
  • Intermediate maintenance experience
  • Ability to perform tasks outside of department.
  • Intermediate experience working with steel and aluminum, hoist operation, measurement capabilities, blueprint reading, machine programming, and basic safety procedures.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS – CNC MACHINIST 1

All basic qualifications required for CNC Machine Operator 2, and:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant CNC machining experience.  
  • Intermediate maintenance experience
  • Ability to perform tasks outside of department.
  • Advanced experience working with steel and aluminum, hoist operation, measurement capabilities, blueprint reading, machine programming, and basic safety procedures.
  • CMM experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS – CNC MACHINIST 2

All basic qualifications required for CNC Machinist 1, and:

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant CNC machining experience.  
  • Advanced maintenance experience
  • Ability to perform tasks outside of department.
  • Expert level experience working with steel and aluminum, hoist operation, measurement capabilities, blueprint reading, machine programming, and basic safety procedures.
