Job Description
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
As a Financial Insights Specialist, your work will empower strategic partners and business leads to deliver outcomes that matter – supporting investment cases and enabling confident commercial decisions. You’ll help develop frameworks for enterprise-wide financial insights, ensuring clarity and relevance across all teams and initiatives. Your days will be spent collaborating with leaders in Strategic Finance, Financial Accounting, and Financial Planning, embedding insights early in decision-making and upholding technical standards for analysis and reporting.
Reporting to a Head of Strategic Finance, you’ll specialise in financial insights, maintain and evolve methodologies, and contribute to the growth of your team through constructive feedback and knowledge sharing. Expect to participate in operating rhythms that drive change, support strategic input into Board and Committee reporting, and translate financial data into actionable insights for investment and planning. Flexibility is key - you’ll move between teams and initiatives, using your broader skill set to deliver on Finance-wide objectives.
Qualifications
Ko wai koe | About you
You bring at least five years’ post-qualification experience in financial insights, ideally within the for-profit sector. Solid commercial acumen and technical expertise are must-haves, along with a track record of linking delivery to strategic outcomes. Experience in matrixed environments and strong stakeholder management – including supplier relationships and regulatory engagement – will help you thrive.
What sets you apart is your ability to lead yourself and others, give and receive constructive feedback, and adapt to change. You’re comfortable with ambiguity, eager to champion growth and inclusion, and committed to building trust across boundaries. If you’re passionate about unlocking efficiency, leveraging technology, and contributing to a culture of feedback and shared success, you’ll feel right at home.
If you don’t tick every box but share our values and drive, we encourage you to apply – your unique perspective could be just what we need.
