Our Te Whanganui-a-Tara based Billing Team there are now looking for an analyst for a 12 month parental leave cover to do some really niche billing mahi. We're not just talking invoice processing, but way more fun AND challenging work across the billing and payments space. 

Job Description

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our billing operations function, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of our billing services. You'll generate invoices per agreed customer SLA’s and internal deadlines, manage exceptions, and resolve errors across relevant systems to ensure accurate billing. Your proactive approach will help maintain our Customer Issues register and respond to any customer queries associated with assigned invoiceables in a timely manner.

But that's not all! You'll also play a crucial role in our White Label Billing Services, completing relevant pre-billing checks on customer data to ensure accuracy before the monthly billing run. You'll generate invoicing and assist our Account Specialist with any incoming queries or escalations. Your expertise will be invaluable in maintaining up-to-date Billing Business Day Schedules, working with the Billing Specialist to maintain documentation for billing processes and procedures, and communicating with the Billing Team Lead about any system or process issues (including the testing of any software updates).

Qualifications

  • An understanding of the New Zealand electricity and gas markets is a plus.
  • A strong technical understanding of metering, switching, and billing.
  • Proven analytical skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
