Job Description
Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating the planning and scheduling of initiatives to be delivered by our ICT department. This includes managing the supply and demand of resources for ICT delivery, working closely with resource managers, delivery leads, and other key stakeholders to ensure the teams are appropriately sized.
Additionally, you will support the scheduling of initiatives into delivery teams and communicate updates back to relevant stakeholders. Regular reporting and representation to various governance forums and stakeholders will be a key part of your duties. You will help maintain a project toolkit with templates and support materials that aid in project right-sizing, irrespective of delivery methodology, and ensure that new team members are trained in using these tools. Furthermore, you will create and provide input into regular reports on the status of the ICT capital portfolio, and support or facilitate governance forums to update on all core technology projects to the ICT leadership team and other key stakeholders.
Just to make this role even more unique, we need someone with solid experience in financial management with no surprises and providing insights on resource management. This includes making recommendations on where to increase or decrease resources, identifying potential skill shortfalls, and opportunities to realign delivery teams. You will also manage the portfolio capital expenditure, regularly forecasting and reporting on it, and maintain portfolio-level risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring these are appropriately managed by assigned individuals.
You will form close working relationships with delivery managers to align new work with delivery teams and support the practice manager in identifying areas for process improvement. Your proactive reporting and insights will inform the health of the portfolio, and you will support the head of planning and delivery, delivery leads, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery
