This strategy is supported by a number of critical business transformation projects, one of which is a significant upgrade of its SAP ERP Platform (ERP Central Component (ECC) + CRM) to the latest SAP ERP Platform S/4HANA. Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity 

Working closely with the Programme Manager, the role of the Project Manager – SAP Upgrade is to manage allocated streams of activities within the project through to completion; delivering on time, within scope and budget.  You’ll serve the needs of the project team, ensuring that roadblocks are cleared, dependencies are managed and stakeholders are kept well informed throughout the lifecycle of the project.

 

  • Use your experience in enterprise platform project delivery to deliver the outcomes to scope, budget, schedule and quality.
  • Lead defined streams of activity in a matrixed project team.
  • Proactively identify and manage dependencies between project streams and other business activities.
  • Create project plans, estimates, budgets and financial forecasts, manage project financials, including forecasting.
  • Identify, schedule and manage required resources.
  • Monitor and report on progress and status, manage issues, risks and changes for projects.
  • Work with Architects, Technical Leads, Vendors, Testers and other key project stakeholders to move projects through stages and gateways.
  • Contribute to the development of team processes, templates and other resources to enable the Change Excellence team to continuously improve its effectiveness.

 

The type of experience you’ll bring to the role

  • Experience in delivering and managing multi-faceted projects, incorporating technology, digital and business changes, as well as customer change.
  • Experience in delivering enterprise platform solutions to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in applying diverse project delivery approaches e.g. Agile, Waterfall, Design Thinking etc
  • A proven track record of delivering projects > $1m and complex and/or multi-site projects
  • Understanding of the wider business, technology and digital strategic drivers and how to ensure projects stay within these parameters
  • Strong commercial acumen particularly driving delivery performance from vendors / suppliers and in the establishment of outsourced commercial arrangements
  • Commercial project experience e.g. systems integration, services delivery & integration
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including strong influencing, negotiation and conflict management skills
  • Strong financial management capability including budgeting, forecasting and purchase to pay and ability to develop business case financials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to clearly convey information to colleagues and business areas.
