Job Description

What you’ll do

As a Technical Lead you will have a passion for coaching the development team, designing and sizing solutions for projects, setting up and maintaining the Digital DevOps pipeline, creating best practice, as well as rolling up your sleeves and writing clean, well-factored, and maintainable code.

  • You will work with cutting edge technologies and you will have the opportunity to further your career in the cloud space (AWS).
  • We are looking for someone with 15 plus years of experience, having had software development as their primary role during this period.

 

Experience with:

  • 8+ years of AWS development and systems admin (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS, etc)
  • 5+ years of CI/CD pipeline build and maintenance (Sysops) including Git versioning (specifically Gitlab and Gitflow)
  • Designing, documenting, presenting, and implementing solutions
  • Experience managing incidents and resolution
  • 8+ years of API development (preferably Serverless/Node.JS) including Unit testing
  • 5+ years of Mobile development (iOS/Android/React Native) desirable
  • 5+ years working with C level stakeholders
  • As well as all the technical know-how, you will be a team player with good communication skills and be able to interact with and translate technical speak for business users.
  • Ability to achieve outcomes by influencing Architects and Leadership

 

The following will be regarded as advantages:

  • Any experience with, NoSQL and Relational databases, Typescript, experience in developing and integrating with third party APIs, working with C#, Sitecore; experience working in a scrum environment

  • Contribute to the Architectural Roadmap for Contact
  • Recommend new technologies to accelerate Contact’s Digital transformation
  • Coaching other developers solve complex problems and rolling up your sleeves when needed
  • Creating development plans for junior developers
  • Passion for writing well factored code that is easy to read and test
  • You understand how your code helps drive the overall business
  • You have a strong business acumen and get that we build to deliver business value
