About the Role

We have a truly exciting opportunity for a Head of People & Culture who is looking to contribute directly to the success of an impactful philanthropic organization.

As Head of our People & Culture (P&C) team, you are a key member of the Constanter Philanthropy Services Leadership Team (CPS LT). Reporting to the Head of CPS, your role is to drive the People strategy and agenda and lead the P&C team in developing and implementing our people policies and processes. You manage a professional and experienced team of 15, with 8 direct reports.

About the Team

The People & Culture team provides HR services to CPS as well as to several related philanthropic foundations and an investment office. Our team of experts and specialists include: Talent Acquisition, Business Partnering, Total Rewards, Learning and Talent Development, People Services, Payroll and internal Communication. In addition to providing expertise and support in these areas, we are responsible for developing our organisational culture, improving the employee experience and advancing our commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

What you will be doing

  • Leading the People & Culture Team and managing our group of HR experts and specialists
  • Driving a high-performance culture and improving operational efficiency
  • Shaping and executing the strategic priorities on the People & Culture team agenda
  • Directing change management and organisational development
  • Monitoring and improving the employee experience and employee engagement
  • Ensuring our company’s people procedures comply with legal regulations
  • Contributing to the annual financial planning cycle and being accountable for the P&C budget
  • Developing strong partnerships with stakeholders throughout the Constanter Universe
  • Reporting on the People & Culture team’s performance and progress to senior stakeholders

Your knowledge and skills

  • Exceptional people management skills to guide the P&C Team as well as to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, leadership and other (external) key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, listening and effectively sharing ideas
  • Ability to translate business needs into an effective, fit for purpose People strategy
  • Resilience and ability to handle challenging situations and multiple priorities
  • Solid knowledge of HR systems, HR practices and employment regulations
  • Strong business skills, including financial planning and budgeting
  • Solid ethics, morals and sound judgement

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in HR with 10+ years of professional experience
  • Must have held a senior leadership position and had experience of leading a team or function
  • Proactive with a track record of implementing positive changes
  • Experience operating in an international environment dealing with cultural differences and (culture) change
  • Experience of working in a philanthropy or not-for-profit environment is an advantage
  • Must be fluent in English; Dutch and other languages are an advantage

Additional Information

  • Location: must be based in a Constanter office (preferably Amsterdam (NL) or Zug (CH))
  • A valid work permit is required
  • Hybrid work; we aim for a 40/60 office/home work balance
  • Full time (40 hours per week); part time can be considered
