The Investment Operations department has a wide-ranging set of responsibilities across enterprise and portfolio reporting and controls, delivering value-added insights and analytics, overseeing investment operations, managing the Investment Office's (IO) budgeting activities, supervising its legal entity work, and designing and maintaining the IO's technology architecture and backbone.  

We are looking for an accomplished operations professional to support the Investment Office's (IO) investment operations.

Job Description

The investment operations specialist is responsible for trade support, position management and cash management of the investment portfolio; and for providing insights by analysing the data within the investment administration. You will also be a support to the investment professional and will prepare reports to internal stakeholders but also to the Constanter Investment Committee(IC) and Constanter Board.


Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Operations: Oversee and enhance day-to-day investment operations. A close relationship to our main service providers, enabling them to provide the required services. You are one of the super users of the systems used and provide support to the various IO teams.
  • Cash-flow Management: Oversee and enhance actual investment cash management including forward-looking cashflow projections.
  • Management Insights & Analytics: Providing value-added and actionable insights by analysing data and processes used within the IO activities.  
  • Technology Architecture and Management: Collaborate with the IO team, technology providers and the Constanter Philanthropy Support colleagues to further develop and enhance the technology and data used by the IO.
  • Enterprise Reporting & Controls: Supporting the reporting process in ensuring the required data is available and accurate; this includes developing portfolio data controls and exception handling processes.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have experience working in Capital Markets or Asset Management. You have attention to details, are curious and have a quantitative mindset. You are able to analyse data, make quick decisions and present conclusions. You will work in a fast-paced environment. You are focussed on collaboration in a high performing team.

You will have:

  • At least 5 years of professional working experience in Capital Markets or Asset Management
  • Knowledge and experience with IT technology 
  • Understanding of financial analysis and programming skills (Python) are required
  • Experience with outsourced service models and managing 3rd party service providers is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with a wide range of investments (such as listed instruments, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Real Assets and derivatives)
  • Details focussed with a strong academic background
  • You are energetic, curious and have a hands-on approach
  • You are used to work in a collaborative environment
  • You are keen to deliver results and to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment
