Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Front Office Manager to join our team at Constance Halaveli, Maldives. This is a permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to support the Front Office Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences whilst overseeing the smooth operation of our front office department. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of service and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations in this luxury island resort environment.

  • Assist the Front Office Manager in supervising and coordinating front office staff, ensuring professional conduct and adherence to company standards
  • Manage guest check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accuracy and efficiency whilst maintaining a warm, welcoming approach
  • Handle guest enquiries, requests, and complaints with empathy and professionalism, resolving issues promptly and to the guest's satisfaction
  • Oversee the operation of hotel management systems and booking platforms, ensuring accurate data entry and real-time availability updates
  • Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, maintenance, concierge) to ensure seamless guest services and operational efficiency
  • Manage front office schedules, staff rotas, and induction programmes for new team members
  • Monitor and maintain front office supplies, equipment, and facilities to the highest standards
  • Prepare reports on front office operations, guest feedback, and performance metrics for management review
  • Support revenue management initiatives by optimising room allocation and upselling opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols throughout the front office area
  • Provide support during peak periods and special events, maintaining service excellence under pressure

Qualifications

**Required:**

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in front office operations within a hotel or resort environment
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity
  • Excellent customer service skills with a genuine commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Strong people skills and the ability to motivate and support team members
  • Proficiency in hotel management systems and booking platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong organisational and time-keeping abilities
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Ability to work flexibly, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Professional demeanour with a positive, can-do attitude

**Desirable:**

  • Experience working in a luxury resort or island-based hospitality setting
  • Familiarity with Maldives hospitality operations
  • Proficiency in additional languages
  • Experience with advanced front office technology and systems
  • Hospitality management qualification or relevant professional certification
