Job Description
Constance Moofushi, our luxury resort destination in the Maldives, is seeking a Guest Service Assistant with fluent Chinese language capabilities to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our organisation, providing exceptional service to our valued guests whilst ensuring their stay is memorable and seamless. You will work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment where your language skills and genuine passion for guest satisfaction are paramount. • Greet guests warmly and professionally, providing assistance in Mandarin Chinese and English to ensure clear communication and understanding of their needs
- Address guest enquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and courteously, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to resolving issues to their satisfaction • Provide information about resort facilities, activities, dining options, and local attractions in a friendly and informative manner • Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests
- Liaise between guests and various resort departments to facilitate seamless service delivery and coordinate special requests • Maintain detailed records of guest interactions and preferences to enhance personalised service during future visits • Support the guest services team in delivering consistent, high-quality hospitality standards across all touchpoints
- Respond to guest feedback with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach, escalating matters when necessary • Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds • Uphold the resort's commitment to excellence, discretion, and cultural sensitivity in all guest interactions
Qualifications
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (both spoken and written) with strong English language proficiency • Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or a customer-facing role within a hotel or resort environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage guests from diverse cultural backgrounds • Strong problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset with genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service • Demonstrated patience, composure, and emotional intelligence when managing challenging situations • Proficiency in using hotel management systems and basic computer applications
- Desirable knowledge of resort operations and luxury hospitality standards • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by resort operations • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Willingness to embrace cultural diversity and adapt to a multicultural working environment • Desirable: Additional language proficiency beyond Mandarin Chinese and English
