We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Refrigeration & A/C Technician to join our maintenance team at Constance Ephelia, Seychelles. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems across our resort facilities. This is a permanent position requiring a methodical approach to technical problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining optimal climate control systems in our tropical environment.

• Install, service, and repair refrigeration and air conditioning systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
•  Conduct routine preventative maintenance on all HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
•  Diagnose system faults using diagnostic equipment and analytical skills to identify root causes of malfunctions
• Perform electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs on refrigeration units, compressors, and associated components
• Monitor refrigerant levels and safely handle, recover, and recycle refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance data
•  Respond promptly to emergency service calls and address urgent climate control issues
•  Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient facility operations
•  Ensure all work areas are kept organised and safe, adhering to health and safety protocols
•  Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in refrigeration and air conditioning systems

• Proven experience in refrigeration and air conditioning system installation, maintenance, and repair
•  Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, thermodynamics, and refrigerant handling procedures
•  Proficiency with diagnostic equipment, multimeters, pressure gauges, and refrigerant recovery equipment
• Competency in reading technical schematics and system blueprints
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Physical capability to perform manual labour, including working at heights and in confined spaces
•  Desirable: Refrigeration certification, air conditioning certification, or equivalent professional qualifications
•  Desirable: Electrical safety certifications and experience with commercial-grade HVAC systems
•  Desirable: Experience working in hospitality or resort environments
