Job Description

Constance Lemuria, a luxurious resort in the Seychelles, is seeking a professional and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property in our tropical paradise setting.

  • Patrol the resort premises regularly to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unauthorized access
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, alarms, or calls for assistance
  • Conduct security checks of guests, visitors, and vehicles entering the property
  • Maintain detailed logs of all security-related activities and incidents
  • Assist guests and staff with security-related inquiries and concerns
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
  • Enforce resort policies and regulations to maintain a safe environment
  • Perform crowd control during special events or high-occupancy periods
  • Conduct routine inspections of security equipment and report any malfunctions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid security guard license
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred
  • Strong physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
  • Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in surveillance and monitoring techniques
  • Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations
  • Experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise incident reports
  • Basic computer skills for operating security systems and filing reports
  • Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and relevant local laws
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Customer service experience in a hospitality setting is advantageous
  • Adaptability to work in a tropical resort environment
