Job Description
The role:
Reporting to Finance Manager – Planning and Reporting, this role is primarily responsible for performing month-end and other periodical accounting tasks as well as assisting with reporting and planning activities.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working in a hybrid mix from home and at our National Support Office in Melbourne (Minimum 3 days).
You will be responsible for:
- EOM Close – accurate and timely close of all relevant reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
- Assist with BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT and other Statutory requirements.
- Managing Fixed Asset Register.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.
- Assist with the coordination of annual budget and periodic forecasting requirements.
- Provide support for internal projects as required.
- Assist with External Audit.
- Promote an environment of compliance and perform Internal audit sampling from time to time.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and make corresponding recommendations.
- Create and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Assume Planning and Reporting responsibilities during the Finance Manager’s period of absence/leave.
The right candidate will
- Hold a nationally recognised degree in accounting.
- CPA/CA qualified or close to completion.
- Have proven experience in a similar role.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to prioritise work and have excellent time management skills.
- Be well-presented with a positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
