We are seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for grades 7-12 to join our team.

$3,500 sign on bonus!

Kittery Academy is a special purpose school in Kittery, ME which provides individual support services to 10 students who have mental health, behavioral and educational challenges.  As a Teacher at Kittery Academy you will make a real difference while working with a great team!

Duties include developing IEP’s, planning the curriculum, preparing instructional materials, and implementing a variety of effective teaching strategies.  Positions starting at $45,000-$53,000 per year.

This is a full time, school year position following a school year calendar with a 6 week ESY summer program. 

If you...

• Have a completed Bachelor's degree in Education or related field,
• Hold a current 282 Special Education Teacher Certification (Targeted Need, Conditional, or Provisional status) from the State of Maine Department of Education, or able to be certified in the State of Maine,
• Have 1-2 years of teaching experience,
• Hold a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and proof of auto insurance,
• Love teaching, have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
