Job Description

TITLE: Vice President, Outcomes

LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA - hybrid

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

TRAVEL: Minimal

BASE COMPENSATION: $160,000 - $180,000 annually + bonus potential

ABOUT THE ROLE

As our VP, Outcomes, you will develop, implement and oversee strategic program and project management excellence across the business segment, ensuring the successful “end to end” delivery of projects and programs within ConnectDER, with focus on customer satisfaction. You’ll be responsible for delivering business outcomes, overseeing the consistency and quality of the overall project/program communications, direction, implementation, coordination, execution, control and completion of cross-functional and customer deployment projects. You'll manage our internal and external project/program managers, customer facing Market Managers, and Customer Service - driving a positive outcome for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide improvements to business efficiencies while aligning operational teams and leadership effectively.
  • Work with internal and external management and senior-level contacts to monitor projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications, in order to identify opportunities to ensure successful and timely implementation/delivery.
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of best practices within the PMO for the purpose of achieving business goals and to support the smooth running of projects undertaken by the team.
  • Develop and maintain effective escalation management processes.
  • Develop and implement processes to monitor, set appropriate milestones and track overall project performance.
  • Develop transparent and collaborative processes to produce project schedules and optimization efforts.
  • Establish PMO best practices throughout the business segment.
  • Collaborate with other departments as required to execute on timelines to meet the strategic goals.
  • Lead all high- priority status, design review, and production planning meetings.
  • Develop clear and concise change management strategies.
  • Establish project governance and protocols that improve project quality and achieve positive results. 
  • Provide technical support and guidance (including scope definition, risk identification and mitigation, resource planning, goals and deliverables) to assigned staff.
  • Develop processes, plans and metrics to effectively manage our customer facing field teams.
  • Identify and resolve issues that impact project scope, resources, schedule or budget through standard methods and communicate these to senior management.
  • Work closely with leadership to operationalize and measure/track key strategic initiatives through management of project scope, deliverables, routines, and task, including:
    • Create and own project plans, project charters and other artifacts
    • Manage risk and issue resolution processes through collaboration with business leaders to ensure swift corrective action
    • Facilitate and drive working sessions with businesses stakeholders to capture business processes
  • Conduct evaluations and assessment and implement required changes for all projects (including mid-project recovery of at risk Projects, re-scoping, postponement, or cancellation).
  • In conjunction with colleagues, develop and implement new and improved processes related to program and project planning, budgeting, controls and management.
  • Ensure team alignment with cross-functional leadership goals and company initiatives.
  • Measure and report KPIs and lead continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10 - 15 years of comprehensive project management experience
  • Several years of experience providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to cross-function, multidisciplinary teams
  • Successful experience standing up a PMO
  • High level of emotional intelligence, influencing skills, and communication skills to enable collaboration with a variety of key stakeholders including senior executive stakeholders
  • Ability to effectively create a collaborative, team-oriented environment including mentoring and motivating team members to be accountable.
  • High degree of agility to function effectively in ambiguous and complex environments
  • Strong analytical and decision making abilities 
  • Ability to interpret and summarize data to help management achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Track record of building strong internal and external networks
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and database management skills
  • Advanced experience using Atlassian Jira

 Preferred

  • Master’s degree or MBA
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience applying Lean Six Sigma/Operational Excellence/Accelerating Delivery and Performance techniques
  • Experience using NetSuite
