Our flagship product, the Smart ConnectDER, is a plug-and-play interface for rapidly connecting residential solar photovoltaic systems and EV chargers to the grid and managing them using embedded telemetry and communications.

Job Description


TITLE: Corporate Marketing Manager



TRAVEL: Minimal

COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $95,000 annually

BENEFITS: All employees receive access to our health insurance plan (we cover 75% for employees, spouses, and children), flexible paid time off, 401K with company match, and equity stock options.

As our Corporate Marketing Manager, you will plan and execute a ground-up buildout of our marketing and branding efforts. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for the overall marketing budget and work with a team of internal and external resources as needed.  

Key responsibilities will include managing our digital visual identity, social media community building, digital marketing campaigns, marketing data analytics, SEO, event planning and coordination, PR, and our digital lead generation into revenue generation workflow.

Our primary target customer audiences are solar developers, electrical contractors, utilities and ultimately consumers looking to electrify their homes with solar panels, electric vehicles, heat pumps and all-electric appliances.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Defining marketing goals and priorities to support the company’s revenue growth, and elaborating on a detailed plan, including budget, to execute and achieve these goals.
  • Reporting progress on the goals above using a data driven approach.
  • Managing the company’s online channels, including the corporate website and social media efforts, putting the brand identity into action on all channels.
  • Managing the production of collateral to support sales and business development, including videos, visual assets, thought-leadership content and communication templates.
  • Managing the execution of goals with external resources on time and on budget, including PR agencies, website developers, inbound marketing services, promoters, and event management.
  • Continually assessing the company’s marketing capabilities and proposing team growth plans as needed.

Understanding how to tell a story is critical for the success of this role and the company’s overall marketing and branding efforts.


  • 5+ years of experience in a communications, marketing or similar role.
  • You deliver results on time and within budget, quantifying progress towards achieving goals with hard data.
  • You are on top of the latest and greatest tools that can boost our brand and marketing effectiveness and have experience implementing digital marketing tools (WordPress, Hubspot, NetSuite, etc).
  • You have developed a portfolio of digital content that tells compelling stories for a given audience.
  • You are comfortable with messaging technology and innovation, and can articulate how technology can help deliver business results.
  • You understand the power of storytelling and can direct 3rd party content creators, both internal and external, in ways to develop and harness it in various media formats (video, audio, slides, etc).
  • You’re motivated by working for a company that’s making an impact in the world that is greater than just growing for growth’s sake.
