Job Description

TITLE: Procurement Specialist

LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA

SCHEDULE: Full-Time

TRAVEL: < 10%

COMPENSATION: $60,000 - $70,000 annually

As our Procurement Specialist, you’ll partner with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that materials are ordered accurately and arrive on time to support multiple production schedules and on-time delivery of our products. In this role, you will support supply forecasting, purchase materials based on production requirements, and develop business relationships with vendors to ensure competitive pricing. You’ll educate employees on applicable purchasing policies, develop sourcing strategies, implement programs and conduct continual analysis of the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage all aspects of supplier purchasing, forecasting, and delivery
  • Research, identify, and purchase quality products and materials
  • Utilize ERP system to maintain the required inventory levels to support demand plan
  • Coordinate and prioritize orders with suppliers
  • Manage material and product expediting as required
  • Verify and manage supplier quotes
  • Process and receive RFQs and POs in ERP
  • Manage and execute reports for analysis on delivery, costs, and vendor management
  • Assist Supply Chain Manager on inventory levels, cost analysis, and vendor needs
  • Manage budgets and BOM costs
  • Support multiple departments purchasing needs

You’re mission-driven and passionate about renewable energy and clean tech. You have been exposed to procurement, bookkeeping, and inventory processes in both large enterprises and smaller companies. You’re a results-oriented and driven professional with proven negotiation skills. The ideal candidate has a technical background and understands the engineering and manufacturability process. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Required

  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role
  • Experience negotiating price and lead times with suppliers
  • Previous purchasing role in industrial manufacturing
  • Experience using a large scale ERP system
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Familiar with Google suite products
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and robust organizational skills

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Proficient in NetSuite ERP
  • Accounting and/or bookkeeping experience
