About the opportunity:

We are hiring a Vice President/Director of Marketing based out of NY who will report to the CRO. The VP/Director, Marketing is responsible for planning and executing integrated marketing programs to drive awareness and revenue for Connatix. This person will be accountable for creating and executing strategic marketing plans that support the company’s revenue goals across all products. As the first marketing hire, they will be responsible for planning and executing all aspects of marketing, including MarCom, sales enablement, content marketing, events, and corporate communications/PR.

Connatix is seeking an experienced marketing leader with an entrepreneurial spirit and a track record of successfully taking a company from start-up to market-leader in the advertising technology space. The ability to use sound business judgment to balance strategic and near-term priorities and deliverables in order to achieve aggressive revenue targets is a must, as well as a strong sense of accountability and the ability to manage both events (e.g. Digiday, IAB, Adexchanger) and projects with a high bar for quality and execution, tracking and measuring results to drive continuous improvement. The candidate must have relevant digital advertising industry expertise and understand sellers, buyers and key industry trends. Knowledge and experience with digital publishers, direct advertisers, media agencies and trading desks and platforms is required. Marketing experience in mobile and video advertising is strongly preferred.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Creating and executing strategic, long range marketing plans
  • Working at the strategic level generating bold and innovative ideas for growth and at the tactical level managing campaigns, outbound marketing and communications, analyzing customer data, and solving problems
  • Demand generation – Developing lead generation funnel through outbound reach, paid, earned, and owned marketing programs that drive demand for our products.
  • Driving industry presence and thought leadership through content marketing and speakers’ programs including promotion of white papers, blogs, bylines, research, product launches, case studies and other assets

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years of progressively complex marketing experience in the digital advertising sector
  • BA, preferably in Business or Marketing; MBA preferred
  • Very strong written communication skills; exceptional presentation skills (visual design oversight, talk track development & oral presentation)
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Passion for helping overcome business challenges and solving complex problems
  • Self-starter capable of thriving in a growth stage company environment
