NOTE: This role is for a Windows Server AND Network Support. They are looking for someone who has both windows server and network support experience in a data center operations.

NOTE: An IT Data Center Operations / Windows Server Support Analyst was released on 8/25 within this same team; please ensure candidates you submit weren’t interviewed for that role.

This individual will provide support for several business units. This is an opportunity to utilize Contractor skills and support the goals of the client’s IT organization as well as develop skills in the Unix and Windows platforms for future responsibilities and growth.

The Data Center Windows Server and Network Support Analyst will be responsible for utilizing their base knowledge to support the day-to-day operations and have the opportunity expand their level of knowledge utilizing various IT solutions. Typical day will consist of 50% Queue support/Incident management, 25% Project/Problem management tasks, 15% Tape management, 10% Document development, (reports and processes). This position could be for 2nd, 3rd, or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Windows Server Support

· Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis (willing to train)

· Troubleshooting network problems, and performance tuning (willing to train)

· Escalate and coordinate network support incidents or requests to vendor

· Tape Management/ Backup and Recovery Operations

· Manage StorageTek silo operations and off-site tape processing

· Assists Administrators with DC operational tasks, including hardware equipment changes, application processes, and incident recovery tasks.

· Perform after hours tasks such as cabling, rack assembly, server hardware replacement.

· Replace redundant drives/power supplies as requested by on call administrators. Help assist with root cause efforts.

· Report, process document development and updates

· DC monitoring tools administration support; SCOM, Nagios Monitoring

· Desktop management tools administration support; SCCM, OSD

· Assist the Remote Support personal internationally within providing monitoring tool support and problem analysis

· Windows Technologies Incident management.

· Monitors DC system conditions, performing escalations as required. Coordinate vendor dispatch access within secure areas

· Assist with problem/incident management & service requests for the Unix/Windows environment. Level 2 tool support.

· Utilize personal computing hardware and software, word-processing, spreadsheet, and database applications to perform duties including documentation, reporting, and scheduling.

To be considered candidates must possess:

· Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent experience

· 2 years Windows Server administration

· 1 year Windows Server Support

· 1 year Network Infrastructure support

· 2 years Tape Management/ Backup and Recovery Operations

· 2 years Command Center operations

· 2 years, Service Delivery

· Network Infrastructure concepts and monitoring tools.

· Basic Unix administration

· AS/400 administration

· Basic Windows/Unix Command Line skills

· MCP Certification, Network Certification preferred

· Basic to Intermediate, Microsoft Word, Excel skills

· Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people

· Demonstrated customer interactions skills and team work competencies

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work “off shift” 2nd, 3rd, or weekend shift
