Job Description

Position: Audio Video operations specialist
Location: Boston, MA
Type: Contract (6 months +)

Position is based in Boston with possible travel to Marlborough. Candidate must provide a smart phone and data plan

 

Keys to the Position:

 

• A solid understanding of networked audiovisual products, systems, and networking are required – Harris, Barco, Crestron, BSS and Polycom. Specific experience with these products is not required although highly preferred but they need to have worked on similar products to have gained an understanding of Video Routing, working with multiple projectors on large screens, video bridging, microphones, etc.

• Understand and troubleshoot Crestron control and Digital Media systems (DMC certification a plus)

• knowledge of Tandberg (Cisco) video conference systems and infrastructure.
• Expert knowledge of Crestron Roomview with an understanding of the inner workings of the back end server, active directory, application and database services
• Ability to read and utilize blue prints.
• Working knowledge of microphones, speakers, LCD/plasma displays 
• Working knowledge of ClearOne, Polycom, and Harman BSS audio conferencing equipment and software.  

 

Minimum Requirements:

Technical Skills (Must Haves)
•    Expert knowledge of Tandberg/Cisco video conference systems and infrastructure.

Education &Training :
•    Minimum 3-5 years experience working in corporate AV or IT
•    High School diploma a must
•    College Degree, CTS, CCNA and any AV or network training a plus
Medical Requirements :
Ability to lift 50 pounds, crawl under tables, etc. This position can have physical demands.
Work Week &Hours :
40 hours - Mon – Fri, Be flexible to work after hours and weekends when required.

 

Applicant must meet ALL of these requirements. Description:

Maintains and is responsible for all service and repairs of audio video equipment and fully integrated conference rooms.  Provides videoconference production support.  The AV Operations specialist may need to interface direct with clients on a regular basis. The position will collaborate with the IT team and other service providers.
Responsibilities
1.    Act as escalation point for all AV service issues across the firm.
2.    Responsible for identifying defective or failed equipment and take ownership to resolution, work with fellow employees and Vendor tech support to provide resolution options
3.    Provide end-user support for meetings requiring Videoconference/AV services. 
4.    Performs break-fix actions, root-cause analysis and manage incident tickets via IT service delivery application
5.    Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or Equivalent

Additional Information

DMC certification is a Plus.
