Job Description
The Finance Assistant / Administrator will provide support to the Finance Department by assisting with daily financial administration, reconciliations, transaction processing, reporting, and record keeping. This role is ideal for an individual looking to build a career in finance while gaining exposure to various accounting and finance functions.
Key Responsibilities
Banking & Reconciliations
- Allocate daily customer receipts.
- Reconcile unallocated transactions.
- Assist with bank reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
Accounts Payable
- Capture supplier invoices.
- Maintain supplier records and supporting documentation.
- Assist with supplier reconciliations.
- Prepare supplier payment schedules.
Finance Administration
- Maintain finance filing systems and records.
- Assist with cost centre allocations.
- Process employee expense claims.
Reporting Support
- Assist with weekly and monthly finance reports.
- Assist with month-end reconciliations and schedules.
- Provide administrative support to the Financial Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Education
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Bookkeeping or finance-related studies advantageous.
Experience
- 1–2 years' administration, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
- Experience with reconciliations will be advantageous.
Software Skills
- Good Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software advantageous.

Additional Information
Remuneration: R14 000 CTC
