About the Role:

Comoto is seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated manager to lead our Fulfillment Center in Louisville, Ky. This role will be responsible for either the Outbound or Inbound/Returns side of the operation and will collaborate with a counterpart in the department.

Management Responsibilities

Inbound Fulfillment Center Manager

  • Supervise, train, and lead a team of fulfillment personnel.
  • Manage all aspects of Comoto's Inbound fulfillment operation, ensuring timely receipt and put-away of inbound products.
  • Oversee the Inbound receiving and put-away process, including proactive storage planning and maintenance.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business rules, software, and vendor relationships pertinent to Comoto's fulfillment operation and proprietary platform.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the fulfillment team, encompassing hands-on training, coaching, planning, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and adjust staffing plans for daily, weekly, and seasonal peaks.
  • Manage seasonal fluctuations in inventory levels (product types and quantities) to optimize warehouse storage.
  • Assume complete accountability for achieving and surpassing goals related to accuracy, on-time performance, and productivity.
  • Coordinate with peers to ensure a seamless supply chain process.
  • Communicate essential business information to the department through weekly team meetings and 1:1 sessions.

Outbound Fulfillment Center Manager

  • Supervise, train, and lead a team of fulfillment personnel.
  • Manage all aspects of Comoto's Outbound fulfillment operation, ensuring accurate, quick, and efficient order fulfillment, consistently exceeding customer expectations.
  • Oversee both Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) processes.
  • Support Comoto Store operations for brick-and-mortar stores across J&P Cycles, RevZilla, and Cycle Gear.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business rules, software, and vendor relationships pertinent to Comoto's fulfillment operation and proprietary platform.
  • Provide day-to-day oversight of the fulfillment team, encompassing hands-on training, coaching, planning, and performance reviews.
  • Collaborate with the on-site Planning Manager to develop and adjust staffing plans for daily, weekly, and seasonal peaks.
  • Manage warehouse shipping supplies, ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained and costs are minimized.
  • Assume complete accountability for achieving and surpassing goals related to accuracy, on-time performance, and productivity.
  • Coordinate with peers to ensure a seamless supply chain process.
  • Communicate essential business information to the department through weekly team meetings and 1:1 sessions.

Qualifications

What Our Next Fulfillment Manager Will Bring

  • A minimum of 3 years of management experience in fulfillment operations or similar distribution experience. Inbound or Outbound experience is highly preferred.
  • Direct and indirect management experience with 75+ employees, including overseeing multiple supervisors across different shifts.
  • Ability to work outside of standard business hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Availability as an on-call escalation point for your team outside of normal business hours.
  • Exceptional people and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and train in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  • A proven ability to analyze and continuously improve current conditions to enhance efficiency, safety, and profitability.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative setting.
  • Extremely strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and 5+ years of experience working with a WMS or ERP system.
