Job Description

Quality Assurance is an important part of every company's production, whether goods or services are produced.  Workers who specialize in this area are a valuable part of the company, ensuring its continued success through quality of shipments and/or services given.  The Comoto Fulfillment Network currently has openings for Quality Assurance Specialists for

 

  • 2nd shift: 3pm - 11:45pm, Sunday - Thursday. $17/hr with seasonal pay of $1 extra in place until Sept 5.

The ideal candidates must have a strong work ethic, be dependable, honest and responsible.  Successful Quality Assurance Specialists (also known as Inspectors) are normally inspectors, testers, samplers, sorters and weighing specialists.  Inspectors are responsible for examining the merchandise visually and sometimes with the use of special equipment to ensure it is functional.

  • Draft assurance policies and procedures
  • Interpret and implement quality assurance standards
  • Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards
  • Devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
  • Review the implementation and efficiency of quality and inspections systems
  • Plan, conduct, and supervise test and inspection of materials and products to ensure quality is maintained
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
  • Collect and compile statistical quality data
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in the quality system
  • Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions
  • Prepare reports to communicate results of quality inspection activities to management
  • Evaluate corrective actions
  • Monitor risk management activities
  • Responsible for document management system

Qualifications

This position has no specific educational requirements; however, the ideal candidate possesses:

  • High level of attention-to-detail
  • Established communication, interpersonal and listening skills
  • Ability to interact and participate in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-driven environment
  • Time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • May require the ability to work a schedule outside of normal business hours
  • Requires writing and math skills normally acquired through high school education.

Previous experience in a Comoto Fulfillment Network role is  preferred but not required.
