Job Description

Take your email marketing experience and creativity to the next level as you own the development, deployment, and reporting processes for the J&P Cycles email and retention program. With your talents you will excite, educate, and inspire our customers through personalized messaging, presenting the most compelling and relevant content and design for a heritage brand known and loved by the motorcycle community for over 40 years. 

In this role you will be able to collaborate with our product and technology teams to develop new email functionality and features, coordinate with our designers and stakeholders to maintain an up-to-date campaign calendar, and work alongside the greater Comoto email team to execute content strategy. You will be challenged to think differently, to test and analyze, and to find new opportunities to optimize messaging and delivery. Experienced channel knowledge coupled with great program management skills will allow our email marketing specialist to thrive on a consumer-focused marketing team built to serve our passionate customers.  

Qualifications

Our Next Email Specialist Will:

  • Own and Iterate - you will manage the end-to-end email process for J&P Cycles by immediately plugging into existing processes, but also contributing to the marketing department by evolving current systems and constantly striving to level-up the email channel
  • Crunching The “Why” Numbers - you will scrutinize performance metrics and dig for insights in Google Analytics and inbox KPIs. You are the kind of person who knows how to see beyond open rate and click-rate and track success from campaign to purchase.
  • Listen & Lead - you will collaborate with multiple departments and use leadership skills to run meetings and see projects through to completion. Bring your big ideas to the table, but also sweat the small stuff and be able to make incremental gains in every part of our process.
  • Evolve, Adapt, and Learn - be curious, stay on top of emerging trends, watch what others are doing, nerd out on email marketing news and updates. Play with code and keep an ear to the ground for dev tricks, hacks, and easy-wins. Be a constant learner and someone who wants to make an impact on the email/marketing community.

Our Next Email Specialist Has:

  • A background in eCommerce and/or online marketing with 2-4 years of email/CRM marketing experience using third party email provider platforms (Sailthru, Listrak, Responsys, etc).
  • A track record of success owning the full end-to-end process for email development including planning, execution, reporting, and ongoing optimization.
  • Identified and interpreted key performance indicators to optimize email messaging, promotional opportunities, and campaign design. You also have extensive experience reporting KPIs performance against established goals.
  • Experience with HTML and content design in the context of building/coding/deploying email campaigns. You have a critical eye for campaign consistency, monitoring those campaigns across all major email providers (Gmail, Outlook, AOL, etc).
  • Experience deploying A/B and multivariate testing initiatives followed by the reporting of test findings in presentation/documentation.

Bonus Points For:

  • Foundational CRM experience
  • Experience with data mining techniques, tools and the ability to evaluate contribute to strategies
  • Graphic design abilities and experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
  • Advanced experience with HTML/CSS/ Front End
  • Current or past motorcycle ownership / riding experience
