Local Profile is looking to partner with freelance content writers who can contribute content for our website, such as local news, nonprofit and business coverage, lifestyle and leisure, food and drink, and local arts and culture. Freelancers will coordinate with the editorial team on creating content that inspires positive change and provides clear thoughtful storytelling. 

You are the right person for this role if you have previous content writing for digital platforms, are self-motivated, and are plugged into the Collin County community.

What you will do:

• Work independently gathering story ideas, researching and producing content under the direction of the editorial team

• Take on projects assigned by the editorial team 

• Respond promptly to requests for edits and suggestions

• Develop content for the website that is consistent with the company's brand messaging

What we look for:

• Previous content writing for digital platforms - we will ask for work samples - please include links in your cover letter

• Enthusiasm and passion for writing compelling content

• Strong creative concept skills and the ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

• The ability to conceptualize and write content focused on the community

• Proven ability to manage and complete deadlines
