Job Description

What you will do:

·      Oversee the progressive excellence of our worship experiences on Sundays and other corporate worship times. 

·      Bring direction and development to the worship ministry’s leadership—its coordinators of vocalists, musicians, and team members.

·      Provide pastoral oversight, leadership, counseling, and care as needed or directed by the executive director of programming or lead pastor

·      Provide on-going feedback in pursuit of excellence to our programming team (worship, production and creative) about how others experience our church through Sunday morning services, events, online service, etc.

·      Build volunteer teams for this ministry area and help them grow in their talents and spiritually.

 

Qualifications

  • A born-again baptized Christian with a deep and growing spiritual journey
  •  Believes in the gifts of the Holy Spirit for the church today. 
  • An undergraduate degree in music or significant musical background. 
  •  At least 3-5 years of experience leading a worship team in a congregation of at least 500-1000 in regular worship services. 
  • A personal desire to grow as a musician and a leader and to be coached by others.
  • A passion for collaborating with and developing both paid and volunteer vocalists and instrumentalists, raising up other worship leaders within the ministry.  
  • A desire to pastor and care for those on the worship team, including one on one care and counseling. 
  • Agree with the Community Church “Statement of Faith.”
