Job Description

SPS is seeking experienced marketing research & insights professionals to serve as part-time Research Associates for the Capstone course in Strategic Communication. The Research Associate position is junior to that of a Lecturer and is a supporting role in the classroom. Research Associates work closely with student Capstone teams to provide subject-matter expertise and guidance in designing quantitative surveys and conducting  qualitative focus groups. Research Associates also liaise with research vendors to source appropriate participant samples. Being a Research Associate is an outstanding way to gain exposure to graduate-level teaching at Columbia University. 

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in communication, marketing, or related field

• Solid knowledge of the theories, principles and practices of strategic communication

• 3+ years of professional experience in a marketing research & insights role

• Must reside and be eligible to work in the United States

• Ability to attend weeknight classes on-campus

• Alumni of the SCOM Program must be 1+ years post-program completion

 

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Graduate-level teaching experience preferred

• Familiarity with the Canvas Learning Management System

Additional Information

Hiring Salary: $4,869.53 per semester-length course.
