Job Description

Position details

Summary of duties: The Installation Technician is the apprentice to and enabler for Project Managers. This will include meeting with the team daily, traveling to the job site, and installing a whole house fan and rooftop ventilation. Work may include some home framing, drywall, light electrical and roofing work. This position will teach you about residential home construction and whole house fan / attic fan installation and sales, and our team huddles will teach you about leadership, safety, and Lean operations. Naturally, the role will require physical ability to climb around roofs, up ladders, and carry materials.

Training: CHCD provides on-the-job training, and for the right candidates and can promote into the Project Manager position quickly if the applicant exhibits the necessary skills and desire to grow with our company. For the entry-level position basic understanding of tools and construction are required, and all ITs should have the desire to become a Project manager within three months by consistently improve their skills and customer satisfaction. Project managers are paid $25-30/hour and productivity bonuses.

Timeline: The Install Technician position is a seasonal / full time position that should last until approximately Halloween and becomes part-time over winter. This position is perfect for students or teachers since it is seasonal. Overtime is possible during our busiest summer months.
