Reporting into the EMEA Head of Information Security, the Global Cyber Controls Administrator will work remotely or in a hybrid capacity from Portugal, Spain or Poland.  

This role focuses on supporting the daily operations, configuration, and implementation of key cybersecurity controls across Colliers globally. Working collaboratively alongside our Global Cyber Engineers, you will administer advanced security solutions, monitor networks, and maintain system integrity. Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Firewall & WAF Cyber Controls: Assist in configuring, operating, and maintaining Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) and Web Application Firewalls (WAF); includes Palo, Cisco, Checkpoints.;
  • Implement, modify, and maintain firewall rules and policies under the supervision of senior engineers.;
  • Monitor Endpoint Security: Support the administration and health-checks of endpoint controls including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint (MDE) and Cisco Umbrella. 
  • Perform Threat Detection & Log Analysis: Monitor firewall logs, SIEM dashboards, and network traffic to identify potential security threats. Respond to security alerts, triage security tickets, and escalate complex issues appropriately.  
  • Operations & Troubleshooting: Assist in troubleshooting firewall, proxy, and intrusion prevention connectivity issues; Generate and maintain activity reports and documentation on firewall operations.
  • Collaboration & Growth: Work closely with infrastructure and application specialists across global teams.;
  • Apply technical cyber risk frameworks (including MITRE ATT&CK and NIST CSF) as directed by senior staff. 
     

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in Systems Administration, network administration, or an cybersecurity/firewall administrator role. 
  • Working knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs) and basic firewall architecture. 
  • Exposure to or some experience configuring and monitoring enterprise firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto Networks, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Cisco). 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows-based server and endpoint platforms, as well as basic Azure AD, GCP and related security systems.
  • Exposure to SIEM platforms and log monitoring principles. 
  • Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to assess follow security protocols and procedures. 
  • A relevant university degree or technical diploma. Entry-level industry certifications (such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Cisco CCNA, or vendor-specific certs like NSE or Palo or MS Security operations or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security) are highly regarded.
