Job Description
As Project Manager in the Project Management department, you will be the lynchpin of various commercial real estate projects, both for the occupier as the owner/developer. You will actively be collaborating with internal advisers and external parties for the development and realisation of new-build and transformation/renovation projects. You have strategic insight and are pragmatic. With your excellent communication skills, you know how to convince clients and win their loyalty. You have a vision for improving and making real estate more sustainable.
Your main responsibilities will include
You will be integrated into the sales process to assist in convincing the potential clients to work with Colliers. Once the project starts, you will be managing from A to Z the whole project:
- Manage the client and the internal Colliers resources such as assistant project managers and interior architects
- Manage the RFP process and assisting the client in the selection of design teams and the contractors
- Coordinate the architectural and technical fit-out works through weekly site meetings and visits.
- In the case of a building renovation or new construction, you will also be supervising the construction process.
- Assisting the client in the hand-over before use of the building.
- The main focus of the project manager is to make sure the project stays on track, within scope, timing and budget. An excellent communication with all stakeholders is key to the success of a project.
Qualifications
- Language: Dutch/French/English
- Education: architect, civil or industrial engineer construction or electromechanics
- Experience: + 8 years of relevant experience in project management either at a similar firm, a construction company or engineering company (HVAC, electricity, ...)
- You have extensive knowledge of building techniques (HVAC, electricity , sanitary …)
- A nice to have is an education or be an assessor in a sustainable label such as Breeam, Well, Leed, ...
- Excellent communication skills and client focus
- Problem solver
- You are able to manage a small internal team (interior architects, assistant project managers, depending on the size of the project)
- Commercial skills to assist in selling projects and convincing potential clients to work with Colliers.
- Software: office package, autocad (know how to consult autocad files)
- You enjoy being involved in both the study phase (technical analysis, budgeting, contractor selection) and the implementation phase (site supervision and project delivery).
