Job Description

Role Overview:

The Interim Digital Workplace Manager will be responsible for overseeing the continuation and successful implementation of 'Project Cloud'. This project is critical to Colliers, as it aims to transition our document and data storage to cloud-based services such as Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint. This role is pivotal in improving collaboration, access speed, management simplicity, document security, and leveraging Microsoft CoPilot capabilities.

Key Purpose:

To effectively manage and lead 'Project Cloud', a strategic initiative aimed at transitioning Colliers' documents and data from traditional on-premises server-based storage to modern, cloud-based storage services, ensuring seamless operations and enhanced productivity during this period of maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the ‘Project Cloud’ initiative, ensuring a smooth transition of documents and data to cloud-based services.
  • Collaborate with the PMO’s Project Manager and Infrastructure team specialists for effective project execution.
  • Manage change and oversee business communication related to the digital workplace transformation.
  • Ensure the security and proper configuration of SharePoint and Microsoft File Servers.
  • Monitor and guide the integration and effective use of Microsoft CoPilot and other data backup systems.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and maintain project momentum in line with strategic objectives.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in migrating from Microsoft file share to Microsoft OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong background in managing change and business communication for digital workplace projects.
  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft SharePoint security and permissions models.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft File Servers and group-based security models.
  • Demonstrated ability in delivering technical projects within large enterprise organizations.
  • Knowledge of data backup systems, including Cohesity, Azure Backup, etc., is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft CoPilot or participation in a trial of the technology would be advantageous.

  • A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in Microsoft technologies and project management are preferred.
