Job Description

By joining the team, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a diverse range of experts on projects of all sizes across the UK. You will assist surveyors in their responsibility for the full range of professional building surveying duties on commercial property to clients.

Our strengthened team across the UK has expertise in all areas of Commercial Project and Building Consultancy in our London Office. We are a fun, dynamic team offering fantastic placement opportunities, with involvement in a broad range of activities for interesting clients and the opportunity to return as a graduate following the completion of your degree.

It has been designed to ensure that you are able to demonstrate the required level of knowledge, skills, and behaviours associated with becoming an RICS qualified surveyor.

Qualifications

It is essential that an applicant already has, or is working towards the completion of a RICS accredited Building Surveying degree or a RICS accredited masters conversion course, and;

  •  Completing or has completed a placement year in industry; or
  • Work experience within the industry / field of expertise
  • Shows an understanding of how to build client relationships through effective communication
  • Competent in the use of CAD (desirable)

Skills

  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Must possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills
  • Must possess excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Must have proficient IT skills, particularly MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be willing to learn, to be proactive, and to contribute to the success of the Department
  • Must possess the relevant degree of practical experience as a Building Surveyor within the commercial property market
